New versions of Spark 1.3.1 and firmware 1.4.1.12
#1
Just installed new IOS Spark app 1.3.1 and updated both The Phantoms and Dialog with fw 1.4.1.12.
So far all works fine. According to IOS app the volume control issues have been fixed. I feel that the non-linearity (progression) around 60-70 is now smoother. This is great!

I have to correct my first impression: The progression at higher volumes (60 on upwards) is still unchanged and steep.

Yes, still the same. Almost inaudible at 30, not a great deal till 50 then ramps up at a stupid rate. Disappointed, why they decided to do this in the first place I cannot understand.

Don't know what else has been updated as they never tell us or publish a firmware history.

I feel volume control is better... like it.
But why is 1.3.1 on smart stuff and 1.3.0 on mac?

Update from 1.4.0.5 went smooth. All settings were kept. Playing now from TIDAL without problems. I keep my fingers crossed that it stays like this. As others I had some problems before, mainly phase shifting or loosing one of my two Phantom for some seconds. The full reset procedure described in one of the other posts did reduce the problems significantly though. I would definitely recommend to do this should you run into troubles. My Phantoms are linked wirelessly and the Dialog is connected without AC filter.

Innuos Zen Mini MK3 -> (Ethernet / Audioquest Optical) -> Dialog & 2x White Phantom
Pro-Ject Carbon Debut Esprit Turntable with Ortofon Red -> (Cinch/RCA) Musical Fidelity Merlin -> (AudioQuest Optical) to Phantom
Master & Dynamics MH40, Audeze Sine, AudioQuest Dragonfly Red; Remote Control via macOS and iOS devices (Devialet App / Innuos Sense /iPeng / Audirvāna Studio)

In the prior version of Spark the volume would randomly reset to 35. If you experienced this, has the update fixed that issue?

I believe the random reset of volume isn't random but a safety feature. A member of this forum asked Devialet support and got that answer. When you change source, the volume will be reset to 35 to avoid mishaps.

Just upgraded my phantoms and the spark app. Listening to a playlist through tidal and it keeps stopping at the end of songs and skipping tracks. I have to hit play again to kick it back off! Will do a system reset later and see if it resolves the issue.

So far no problems. Listening to a TIDAL playlist for about 1:30h without any issues.
