How to Connect Laptop with mono Phantom?

Hi,

I have read this on Amazon Review

" If you want better than bluetooth quality from your computer, you can simply connect from USB to Optical via a device such as the Turtle Beach Micro II USB Analog/Digital which is under $35 here on Amazon. There are other higher quality USB to Optical converters which may give you a higher quality results."

Now my laptop doesnt output optical, it just has simple aux.

Can someone guide me with some good USB to Optical converters that they have tried with Phantoms  and have seen quite an improvement.

Also what optical cables should i go with.. i tried
1) Monster Optical Cable
2) Audioquest Cinnamon Optical Cable
3) Audioquest Vodka Optical Cable

Not sure which one sounds better...
