PHANTOM II 98 DB stereo + 2 optical cables?
#1
Hi everyone,

I currently have two PHANTOM II 98 DB that I've paired to have stereo sound.
One of them is linked to my TV thru an optical cable.

I would like to be able to control my two Phantoms using Amazon Alexa. The best way according to Devialet is to connect Amazon Echo to one of the Phantoms, using an optical cable (you can see it on this link, in French).

Concern:
  • I already have some issues sometimes while switching from optical input (TV) to Web input (Spotify). I sometimes lose the stereo and I've seen many times the situation where one Phantom would be playing the TV sound while the other one would be on web input still.

Question:
Has anyone tried, or would this work:
  • I would like to have my two Phantoms paired to play Stereo Music
  • One Phantom would be linked to the TV thru an Optical cable
  • One Phantom would be linked to Alexa (Echo, Show...) thru an Optical cable

Would I be able to easily switch then?

Backup plan:
  • If the above wouldn't work, would you have an idea how I can listen to Spotify / Watch TV / receive Alexa sound with two paired Phantom II?
Thanks!! Smile

It's perfectly doable. The switching between optical sources is done in the app. No need for a backup plan.
