Phantom 1 returns with different serial No’s?
#1
So as said in a previous post, i sent my Phantom 1 Golds back to the factory due to cracks at the 3 & 9 O’clock positions

Devialet agreed a price of £349 each to have repaired ((Minor Cosmetic it was listed as)) So Devialet sent me brand new
boxes and tape to send them back via UPS a really great service.

Well today my repaired Phantoms arrived safe and secure, so i was more than happy  Big Grin

So now i have opened them up i have noticed that they are completely different serial numbers to the ones I sent out!!

My old Phantoms were numbered J30N001824U03 & J30N001904U03 both were purchased in August 2016 according to

The dealer, theses were the first batch in the UK when released.

The pair that arrived today are numbered T43V900224U15 & T43V900414U15

Would anyone on this fantastic forum be able to identify the year of manufacture? Or advise me what i should do?

Do i complain to Devialet and ask for my old Phantoms back? Or keep quiet?

Surely the factory wouldn’t mess up and send me someone else’s Phantoms, or have they just sent me a new pair?

These are Glossy white the same as the originals, i understand that the Glossy finish is no longer manufactured.

Thanks and look forward to your replies.

i would guess that is 'current stock' and a 2024 model but just a guess.
from my 1 time return/repair experience, i got a new current year equivalent model.

for reference:  https://devialetchat.com/Thread-Devialet...umber+year

the  'rule' WAS start at H=2014 add 1 for each year.  but the math does not add up for T.

i get to 2026 mode for T,  using the 'current' algorithm.
wonder if you got something back from the future! ;-)

Its working, its new, and its a happy day.

EDIT: i found my arch from early 2022 starts with a Q. so that's a valid letter. Q has been spotted in the wild. either way the Letter = Year  schema seems off in more current years.   But no one promised it was true or correct as far as i know maybe a coincidence or things changed.
