Phantom II - Old Devialet remote

I've got a stereo-pair of Phantoms II hooked to my TV via optical. The volume control via optical is frustrating. 

Found the old Devialet Remote (model eh576aa) at a good price. Does anyone know whether the old remote is compatible with Devialet Phantom II?

Compatible or not, I would not recommend the Remote V1. It's probably the worst volume knob ever. It disconnects frequently, often the only solution for re-pairing is a reset of the speakers. It's lagging, for seconds nothing happends, and suddenly everything happends in milliseconds. The build quality is subpar and it's top heavy. Perfect combination for creating e-waste. If you think the app is frustrating, buy the Remote V1 to fall in love with the app again. The remote is garbage. V2 is ok, it actually works
