Phantom Premier (flat) remote not connecting

I received the remote control tother with the upgrade pair of Phantom Golds. The remote woked fine at the beginnign, but since a few weeks it stopped working.

I charged it, turned it off and on, moved it around, but there is only this modified "infinity" symbol showing, no volume level no nothing...

Moving it on top of a Phantom head first does not work as it was working in the earlier version.

Any experience with that?

Try rebooting the speakers. The pairing procedure is the same as before.

Yes reboot the Phantoms, button on the back, press once. Then they make the connection again.
