Hi everyone!
Has anyone connected their Phantoms and Dialog to a Sonos multiroom system?
Can this be done with the Sonos amplifier? Will the sound from the Sonos speakers be in sync with the Phantoms?
Help with this is much appreciated!

Hi!
Has anyone actually tested this? How long is the delay and is it noticeable?
I am looking at getting Sonos in the rest of the house and 2 Gold Phantoms for the main room..

I tested this solution, it works but the lag between Phantom speakers and other devices is quite important, so don't let Phantoms and Sonos be simultaneously within earshot.
Another problem, when switching on or changing sources, the Phantoms' volume setting returns to 35, it will be necessary to play between the Phantoms' volume and the musical selection on the Sonos, not very practical.
It should also be noted that the audio quality of Sonos Connect is lower than that of a Bluesound Node 2 or Yamaha MX-C50 for example.

The Sonos Amp has no pre-out, so the Connect is needed. You may need a Connect for each Phantom, unless you can send the signal to one Phantom and have it link to the other. I don't know much about Phantoms so they may do that already.
I will say that that the stock Connect is adequate, but if you are getting Phantom Golds, then I would move to a W4S modified Sonos: Connect. And the Nordost purple flare power cord. Very significant improvement and well beyond a Bluesound Node 2, thought that is better than a stock Connect.
My impression is that the Phantom Gold has a much better tweeter than the other models, and the modified Sonos will definitely be a worthwhile expenditure. I'd say, almost required, having used both. (but not with Phantoms).

I have not bothered connecting my Sonos Play 5s with the stereo pair of Golds. They all access the same NAS for music. Getting them connected requires some work and expenditure, and with the delay, will be more trouble than it is worth. I have a Play 5 in same room as the Golds, so if I want whole house music, I use all the Play 5s only.
