Pre-amplifier with Expert Pro 220?

Has anyone tried using a pre-amplifier with a Devialet Expert Pro 220 integrated amplifier and if so, what have the results been?

I“m using my 1000 pro as power amp for movies in combination with an A/V preamp. You can configure an analog input with a fixed volume, then you can use the preamp for adjusting the volume. The Devialet acts as a power amp with fixed volume. Works perfectly fine.
For best sound quality with music this does not make any sense.

Yes, but it will do an AD conversion so no much sense for stereo system.

I also use it is as a part of HT system.
