Why do they communicate 5.1 Cinema? I suppose it will be 5.0 (since a seperate Subwoofer seems not needed).

I think it means they will only decode Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 and not the latest DTS-HDMA and Dolby TrueHD signals.

What they mean is that they'll be able to reproduce 5.1 encoded content.
Obviously some bass management will happen to playback on 5 Phantoms since a sub won't be needed Big Grin

I don't think that one will be through a firmware update. 5.1 cinema will mean a new style of dialog complete with HDMi inputs, which we will have to buy.
