Quite disappointing, I agree. Both (all) speakers will have to be networked anyway for configuration so it would have been very elegant.

They (Dutch) actually posted RoonReady completed on social media last week, but then retracted it and deleted posts. Oops. Not sure what that was all about, but it seems like it’s not trivial but I believe (from what dealers posted for whatever that’s worth) that the final solution will be each speaker connected to an Ethernet switch and both controlled by Roon as a pair, rather than a master on Ethernet and a slave (companion) via aes. So assuming it works and gets released there’s hope for Phantoms. Technically anyway, I’d imagine the biggest stumbling block will be Devialet and their attitude.
