RAM EQ Curve
#1
Hi all, apologies for the newbie question, been an Expert (D200) owner for a while, only recently gone back to vinyl which I am enjoying massively. Tried to find out more about the RAM EQ Curve options and how best to exploit, but haven't found anything in the forum and/or Devialet site. Other than the obvious fact that perhaps my ear not too fine (....) is anyone aware of any resources or can give some pointers on how to best exploit?
Many thanks

I use a turntable and leave the curve set to RIAA 1976. I had a look on Wikipedia and found a good article on the history of the specification.
You may already know this, but if you would like to experiment with different curves, you can do so on the fly by giving the tone button on the remote a long press, then navigating backwards or forwards using the tone and source buttons until you reach the relevant screen. You can then use the buttons and the volume control to select the different curves. To leave the setup mode press the on/off remote button.
Hope this helps.

thanks! I will look at Wikipedia, good point. I have ben trying on the fly, and toggling btw RIAA 1953 and 1976, but was keen to understand the method and specific applications/matching to different types of recordings- if any.
