Reactors behave like 'normal' speakers acoustically so placement is important for a good result. Acousticfields.com has videos on youtube educating on the subject. You should inform yourself a bit before you start building.
I think @David A meant placing Reactors high on the wall pointing down. Geckos are fine, but you'd need digital room correction to make that kind of placement (close to a wall) sound really good.
