Phantom Fell down
#1
Hi,

my wife accidentally rammed the phantom while on a speaker stand and it felt down. Plastic case broke and woofer felt off.
Now the unit is not usable, it distorts a lot (lower registers, so logically - the bass unit). Even after putting the cap back. Seems something with the left woofer happened.
The unit was powered off at the moment of accident.

What to do? Any ideas?

Thank you for the picture. I've read somewhere that the seal between the woofer and dust cap has to be completely tight to avoid distortion. Have you tried to glue the dust cap to the woofer? If you shake the Phantom, is it rattling? If you push the woofer gently inwards, does it make a sound or does it feel like it's rubbing against something? If the left woofer is undamaged you can use it as a benchmark for how it should feel.
