Senic Nuimo Universal Remote
#1
The Nuimo looks like a potential alternative to Devialet's Remote.

It would be nice if Devialet releases a nicer v2 Phantom remote with touchscreen LCD. Although the current remote works, it's a bit plain in looks, and sparse in features for the cost (seriously, just...volume only?). Envision a v2 that looked closer in line to their amp remotes, with a central LCD for track info. Retain the encoder ring for volume as that feels so nice. And that hefty square base to keep it in the "family" in terms of user experience and control.

I'm sure many of us would gladly pay for something like that.

I quite like the look of that device.... Doubt it would work the the expert but I could think of a few other things I'd use it for.

That's pretty much what the remote was originally supposed to be (though with a e-paper screen, not a LCD one).

Indeed it was. The early announcement/pictures were promising. When the actual remote appeared after a long delay I decided not to bother.

I asked the company Senic if the Nuimo could also be used to control the Phantoms / Dialog.
The answer from the head of software engineering at Senic:

-----------------
thank you for your email and your interest in connecting Nuimo with new platforms such as Devialet Phantoms! As Nuimo is based on open standards and protocols, any platform with BLE support can connect and communicate with Nuimo. We are currently providing SDKs for Android, iOS and OS X with more target platforms coming later. For all other platforms please refer to Nuimo's BLE GATT profile here: https://senic.com/files/pdf/nuimo-gatt-profile.pdf.

If you have any further question please write use again.
-----------------

Hoping for some smart programmers to make the Nuimo suitable for Devialet Products.
