Size if speaker cable spades for 440 pro
#1
Like to ask fellow owners. The size of spade can be used for Expert 440 pro.
I was thinking of getting WBT speaker spades but could not decide between 8mm and 6mm.

Can 440 pro use the 6mm spades?

Get lockable bananas. They always fit and have plenty of connecting surface.

Agree with the bananas. I've had to get speaker cables terminated at the Amp end with bananas (if you can, get the WBT locking bananas). Spades are usually my speaker end termination.

The thing is I have 2 pairs of speaker cables each channel. I will use 1 pair for bananas WBT and the other spades. Speaker side are spades

You need 8mm spades.

I got the 6mm and it fits….hmmm now had converted all speakers terminal to any spades and 440 side is 1 spade and 1 banana. Unfortunately the spade is to angled down.

Need to raise the 440 for allowances.

Sound wise. Enuff said. It brings a lot more right bass and mids. Seems “faster”

Only thing is that you need to raise the 440s to allow the spades.

That’s strange. There are no flats on my binding posts that would allow 6mm spades to be used, so I would have to use 8mm.  Doesn’t matter though, as long as you’ve managed to get it all connected.
