Yeah, that makes sense. I was just wondering if the wake-up function could work the other way - i.e., when I started to play something on the Sonos it would then wake up the amp. But I guess the amp is the dominant power source.
TBH I haven't noticed a dramatic difference between the connect and the port - though maybe I don't listen to my music loud enough. From an aesthetic point of view however, it's a beautiful piece of kit :-)
