Sound Quality phono pre 140 vs 220
#1
I have a question i am using my Yamaha GT-2000 turntable with my Devialet Expert 140 Pro, I use it in combination with an Rothwell headamp because i had hum with all my LOMC cartridges (DL103Pro, Benz Micro Glider L2 and AT33PTGII)

I get an Highphonic PH 5T SUT for my DL-103pro but like the headamp it basically needs an MM and also adjustments which are missing on the 140.

My qeustion is is this a big issue and how big is the difference in sound quality between both phono pre's inside the Devialet?

My understanding was that the phono stages in the 140, 220, 440 etc are all the same. However there is a higher spec phono stage in the 250 and 1000. I am happy to be corrected though.

If i check the configurator the 140 has less configuration possibilities then the 220 for the Phono Pre part for example?
