Hello all,
I tried to search for this but couldn't find a direct answer.
I would like to use the optical input of my stereo Phantom I pair so I can use the DAC inside the speakers without the translation back to 48khz that occurs when playing high res music over wifi on Roon.
However, this changes the sound and the stereo image disappears. I also noticed in the Room signal path that this bypasses SAM. Is this normal? Is there a specific setup that allows the use of SAM but also fully utilize the high bit rate DAC inside the speaker using the native high resolution music? What is the best setup to play high res music without the downgrade to 48khz?
