- there are posts about this tool, somewhere here, also
- if the file is present, it will operate this, otherwise not - so you are right
- there are failure in this option, be careful and control the effects with e.g. REW and a UMIK microphone, best
- with SAM active, only a few filter will work (about first 3, 4 or5)
- it is not recommended, to do a correction above about 100 Hz, it might sound awful
- start with the lowest frequency, a correction will have an effect of all the other frequencies, first the doubled, than mixed
- you should not hope to get a correction with a +dB, as the gaps are mostly from room deleting effects
- benefit of this tool, IMHO, is that it has an effect at all sources like Vinyl or TV, as the filter for streaming e.g. in Roon effects only that
- thats why I correct the main room mode only
