TV remote to work on phantom

is there any solution to have the tv remote to control the volume on my phantoms ? I have tried connecting the TV (with optical toslink cable) both to  my phantoms, and my dialog. I am getting sound out of the Phantoms, but can't control the volume with my TV remote. My TV: LG 65 EF 9500 Oled .  happy for any suggestions !

Your TV seems to have WebOS, which means you could use a simple plugin to control volume over network. Will get to it at some point, though it's not a priority right now.
Also, don't have access to a WebOS TV either, so might only provide a simple shell script, but you'll have to figure out how to add it to the TV and bind to Volume controls.
