Instead of using the ethernet ports on your streamer / PC / NAS, use a USB ethernet adapter instead if your device supports it.
If you know how to do it, you can also set up the NAS or another device with multiple USB ethernet adapters and bridge them together with Linux, so you get a software switch made out of USB ethernet adapters.
It sounds good, similar to good ethernet tweaks, and mainly affects the highs, soundstage and imaging. Not sure why, maybe it's because the ethernet chipset, clock and port so close together on these adapters.
Adding a simple USB 3.0 hub before the USB ethernet adapter usually also makes it sound better.
It sounds best if you add in USB ground isolation and clean 5V power injection using devices like the ifi iDefender or wisdpi WisdDefender.
This might be an interesting alternative or complement to optical network isolation and audiophile ethernet switches.
