Upgrade from 200 to 220PRO CI
#1
Hi folks

I have a 220PRO CI and can get a used 200 at a reasonable cost.
My question though is whether it is still possible to send a 200 back to France to upgrade to a 220 PRO CI so that it can be used as a 440PRO?

I don't see the option on the Devialet site any longer.

Thanks
H

Sent a note to Devialet. They were quick to respond.
Answer is no by the way. It was indicated that there may be another upgrade campaign later on in the year but it does not appear to be a sure thing.

I corresponded at the end of February with a contact at Devialet in France who has been with the company since the beginning.  He assured me that Devialet would re-open the upgrade program "shortly."  We can all debate what that word implies but I have no doubt that Devialet will once again offer an upgrade path for the Expert series to the Pro series.  By the way, I was based in France for five years and that's when I bought my Devialet, so I established some good connections.
Devialet Expert 220 Pro Kinki EX-M7 power amp tethered to a fiber-fed Lumin X1 streamer via Grimm XLRs, Vivid B1 Decade speakers in Rosso Barchetta red (only 200 produced in a limited edition), Roon Nucleus with a Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SSD, etherREGEN switch fed by a Sonore opticalModule (and Sonore-supplied transceivers and 1M optical cable) with a SOtM dCBL-Cat7 cable to my Nucleus and a DH Labs Reunion Cat8 to my Lumin T2 streamer, Keces P8 linear power supply feeding a (to come) NUC and EtherREGEN switch with an external AfterDark OCXO clock., and opticalModule (5V/1A), AudioQuest Niagara 1000 power conditioner, ASI LiveLine loom (purchased directly from Franck Tchang when I lived in France), Less Loss Firewall for Speakers and Roon lifetime license with Tidal streaming.
