Used phantom 1 not booting up

I bought a used P1 light chrome in excellent cosmetic condition and am having issues with it not making any booting sounds.
My other one connected to the app fine, but this one the woofers move in and out initially but there is no sound shortly after just a very faint clicking sound.
I've tried everything I could find on here, including holding power button for 3 cycles off/on resulting in a constant muscial notes being heard, but no booting sound.
It connects via bluetooth, In just cannot get it to be seen in the app to create a stereo pair.

I'll speak with CS this morning but in the meantime any suggestions? Is the wifi card fooked? The model is ZP496 from around 2020.

The seller insists it was working before he sold it,  but I need to find out how he had it connected.

All sorted now needed to update to DOS2. it was working ok, but now the app cannot see left speaker.
Also my wife is unable to play via spotify connect - speakers are selected and shows as playing but no sound.

This also happened with the phantom 2's and was never fixed.

Any ideas? this is becoming a right pain - you cannot just plug and play!
