Volume Limit setting in webpage
#1
Hi All - I've been recently trying to setup my Phantom's with an app called IPeng which is normally used with Squeezebox devices.

I had it working but in one case the volume control suddenly went up to 100% and its scarred me for life!

I'd like to try again and I notice that in the WEB page configuration you can set a volume limit on each Phantom individually.

Has anyone tried this and how does it work - I assume it doesn't suddenly 'CLIP' the sound at certain volumes - presumably it affects the volume overall.

Has anyone tried this setting? Is it likely to affect the sound quality?

I can't find any documentation about the webpage configuration so I'm not sure if we are supposed to be using it or not?

A while ago I asked Devialet to restrict the limit of the audio volume to avoid unexpected rises that can cause hearing loss.
Like you was my traumatized...
Depending on the app you use the audio volume start is set by the app or by the phantom current audio value.
Phantom = danger...
Please excuse my poor reputation
