WiFi issue with Phantom Ultimate 98db
#1
I just received two brand new Phantom Ultimate 98db speakers, Both speakers are located in the same room as my router with perfect WiFi.

One of the Phantoms connected easily to the WiFi using the Devialet app.

The other Phantom however will not connect to the WiFi at all. I've tried everything including hardware reset, new app installation, etc. Only when I connect an ethernet cable to this Phantom can I connect it in the app and also create a stereo setup.

As soon as I remove the cable the Phantom immediately is disconnected in the app. Both Phantoms are running on the newest firmware via the System update in the app.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? Devialet customer support has not responded to me.

Thank you!

It sounds like it's faulty, demand a return.

Update! I finally managed to get both speakers connected to the WiFi. I don't know exactly what did the trick because it involved reseting and connecting both speakers several times. At one point everything was switched around and the Phantom that had previously worked with WiFi suddenly refused but the other (potentially faulty) one worked fine. Anyway, I now have both speakers connected to the WiFi and if anyone else runs into this issue I suggest trying multiple times (with only 1 speaker turned on at a time), reseting the Phantom to factory settings and restarting the app if it refuses to connect. Hopefully, at one point you will be successful. Devialet customer support also finally contacted me via Whatsapp but by then I had self-served the problem. But still appreciate them reaching out personally. The Phantoms (look and) sound great BTW. I use them on the Tree Stands.
