Will Spotify HiFi work in Expert Pro CI’s Spotify Connect

As most of you have already known Spotify will release HiFi version this year’s second half. I am curious if this high resolution version will work out of the box in our CI board’s Spotify Connect or will we need an updated Spotify Connect for our units.

I am asking because recently we lost AIR for Mac OS and Spotify Connect is potentially the next one.

It is not related with this question but is there anyone in the forum asked Devialet about Tidal Connect integration?

I would doubt that the current Spotify Connect code can handle 16/44.1 lossless. I could be wrong of course, but there is a big difference between a lossy codec and FLAC for example. Did you ask Spotify support? Do we know which format Spotify will use?
