cleaning phantom gold

Hi there,
Not really a ''hi fi question'', but here goes anyway:
How do you clean the gold. The golden side panels collect smudges easily and how can you clean that?
I wiped it with a moist towel to dry it with a dry towel immediately afterwards, results aren't that great,
Some tips how to clean it?

I usually take them out first. If you push on the pointy sides the back comes out a bit and from there just a gentle pull and they slide right out. And I wash them with warm water and soap and then wipe them with a microfibre towel until no marks remain.

Why not ask Devialet support they are very helpful?

I know with the plastic they reccomend window cleaner 

Maybe the coated metal we need to be careful not using anything that might slowly eat away at the coating over years of cleaning ?
