I find AIR works better with Win10. I managed to play 24/192 music files using AIR to D200 and no white noises. Well, white noise occurred when Roon found the file to be corrupted. Otherwise, AIR is quite stable.

I admit, this is too early to be conclusive, and more music and longer time playing to confirm AIR is working well with Win10.
There are a few things I noticed that will affect AIR performance:

1. PC/Notebook/Tablet should be only playing a music service (eg. Roon); if you use the same hardware for web browsing, this may cause white noises.
2. In the past, some movements in the same room may cause white noises; so far with Win10, no such problem.
3. Also, in the past, accessing the net using iPhone may also cause interference and result in white noises; again in Win10, no issue.
#2 & #3 - I'm guessing you're using wifi somewhere in the chain, right? Otherwise that's be truly odd!

Maybe HK moving around the world is causing everyone's white noise issues?  This might explain a lot.....

Yes, you're right. I was using AIR-wifi. I'm kind of leaning towards wifi than ethernet, in preference, which I believe wifi is truly wireless, less/no resistance as there's no physical cabling. Then, of course, there are arguments that in air, there are lots of wireless interferences.

Seriously, I ever tried staying put just to make sure I won't interfere with any signals in the air. Big Grin

Now, with Win10 I can relax a bit more.
I have managed yet more trouble free hours with AIR / Windows 10 this morning. So in the interest of good scientific endeavour, I decided it was time to try and break it by reversing some of my white noise work-a-rounds. Primarily, re-instating the screensaver power mode and taking the power management off high performance mode. The curious thing, is that no matter what settings I choose, the screen never powers down, not even if I set the screen saver mode to 1 minute and run in power saver mode, very strange. I did start to get some "crackling" noises when in power save mode, so I have reverted back to "high performance" mode. Why the screen never powers down is a bit of a mystery though.
i have read that windows 10 sounds better for usb outputs because the way in which it handles clock timing is much better than previous versions (i will profess to not understand the actual mechanisms at all im just repeating somebody elses knowledge) so i wonder if this also has an effect on air?
Tested playing DSD/DSF files via AIR, no problem, too.
Today, with over 4 hours of AIR playing with no issue. AIR is looking good on Win 10.

NOTE: I am using AIR-ETH.
