Will this be left out and the next firmware being 8.5 / 9.0 ?
Who knows? I recall reading somewhere there may be one due fairly soon and it'll be mainly bug fixes, so a maintenance release. Possibly a more major one due in the spring?
Devialet 900 or Original d'Atelier as they call it runs on Firmware 9.0. I looked a liitle bit into the menus when no one was watching.

I was guessing 9.0 too - which should be another major update.
Shouldn't normal timing be around December?
If that's the case 9.0 would be released soon. As "d900" is launching worldwide now thru mid Dec. Wonder what we will get by Christmas from 9.0
That would be the normal timeline - 2 major firmware updates for expert line a year ... and December would be the next. (the other is around High-End in Munich at May). Any one got some insight about new / upcoming features for 9.0 ?
