It may not have installed? I usually put the SD card with the new firmware in and press the front button for a few seconds until it says 'Resetting' and then it should start to load.   I could've got this totally wrong and something went wrong with the upgrade though...

They don't but I've kept copies of older ones on my Google Drive. Check out the link in this post.

Excellent.
Well, I came back to diagonal cabling on the B&W.
Long listening session with the 10.0.5, and guess what, no fatigue, perfect. I'm happy with the v10 (I don't remember what are the differences with v9...but I will not compare, no more time for that, I just enjoy Smile).

I'm quite certain the answer is no.

You need to use V10 firmware in the Pro to get the new ADH implementation.  From what I have heard and read, the new ADH offers a big step up in sound quality, so any thoughts of V7 sounding better than V8 or whatever simply don't apply to the Pro.

So the firmware debate for the Pro starts at V10, I'm sure history will repeat itself and we will have a much loved V17.1.3beta or something before too long. Shy
Downloading the configuration files for my 440 Pro, it says "This configuration requires Firmware 8.3 and above".

Diagonal cabling? Do you mean you're bi wiring and have changed the poles on one of the connections? Sounds counter intuitive to me but if it works, why not? Smile
Sorry, I'm not clear... No bi wiring, just playing with the jumpers (it has a huge impact on the B&W). To better illustrate, see the picture bottom of page 2: http://www.nordost.com/downloads/NorseJu...ctions.pdf

Got it!

I use the original linking plates rather than jumpers, but I get similar levels of impact with the facts. Diagonal is the most balanced and also kinder tweeter sound, whereas just to bass gives a little more bass. Im sure this is a crossover inefficiency, but its useful. Going into the treble posts only is far too bright for me. Diagonal is borderline bright, but using bass only makes the tweeter a little muffled (although is a much better bass-treble balance).

Of course since I tightened my LF drivers the balance is better anyway, but the above still stands.

So I stay with 200 and my 7.1.3... last ,,natural" sounding firmware from Devialet. Great body and musicality. Bye bye PRO;-)
