Software is L + R 1.0.1.29 and 1.0.21 for the chamber

To be honest, I think this is a hit&miss thing. I was ready to cancel my order yesterday, after reading through all your posts, but somehow I didn't and happy with my decision.

The connection process is truly abysmal: in comparison with the airport, they look like a work in progress of the first prototype of its kind. You have to connect to Gemini L, and in turn the iPhone will do a pairing request with Gemini, and from here on it's a Russian roulette. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...

However, having read the support page on Devialet's official website, after 4 tries I managed to get all of them updated. They work well, albeit I haven't tested them thoroughly yet.

The sound is very good for such a small form factor and their look and feel is premium, I am positive they will solve this through additional firmware upgrades (once you manage to install them😋).

I felt very much the same way at the beginning.  I still love the sound, but I still keep my galaxy buds in my pocket when on calls as once I put these into daily use...that is when the connection issues and reliability showed up.

Meaning, once I start going back and forth between the chamber and calls, starting to have bluetooth issues, and connection issues.

Like my galaxy buds, those took a good 5-6 updates to get "rock solid".  Hoping devialet does the same here.

Still don't get why they show up as 2 or sometimes 3 different devices instead of just one.

As long as I reboot my phone and connect 1 time to music...zero issues so far.

When I had 8 client calls on Monday, I would drop them back in the chamber after each call to 'charge'.  Issues started pulling out of the chamber and connecting to bluetooth.  Would get 1 ear, or intermittant sound.  Had to switch to galaxy buds as one ear dropped to 0% for no reason (other ear was at 60%).

I've charged overnight twice, and had 0% in one ear in the morning.  Doesn't make sense.

Anyway....I'm keeping them, and hoping for the best.

In the end, only a $300 investment.

(22-Dec-2020, 13:45)Fengos Wrote: [ -> ]In my case it looks like the chamber blinks as it should and the earbuds are detected. However, when I try to activate de pairing mode by pressing the button for 2 seconds it never works. None of the methods mentioned above worked for me =/

I guess I'll be asking for a refund.

I had to hold the button down for the entire pairing process for it to work.
Interesting. But mine es weird... I see like everyone's having issues after having paired the device, using it or updating it. But I've never been able to pair it. The chamber blinks in green when introducing each earbud and apparently works fine. But, when I press the button for 2 seconds with the case opened, it blinks in white once, like trying to begin pairing mode but then the led turns off and does not continue blinking. The factory settings reset method doesn't seem to work either.
I have the same problem but you just have to connect the charger to a usb it works for pairing

Hello everybody I'm looking for better tips, the original ones won't. The m is too small, the l too large. Have you found better? Thank you
Found them under the tree this morning, as my son did.

Bluetooth connection immediate, finding the chamber also immediate. The upgrade went through at the second try, for both of us. A bluetooth reset on the phone, as suggested on the support page, did the trick.. 1.0.22 is the latest chamber version.

The packaging is nice, with a solid and quality feeling.

Now, for what really matters, the sound, I find it exceptional. I can only compare with Sony Wh1000xm4. It's better, and a lot simpler to carry.
It's better for music, and much better for phone calls.
My son has samsung galaxy earbuds, nothing comparable.

Super happy with this purchase. Devialet has delivered a product that is extremely impressive.

I feel sorry for all experiencing connection and upgrade issues. My phone is on android 10, it's a One Plus 6.

The earbuds themselves are extraordinary. The sound, the clarity, the low ends, mids, highs are amazing. But it appears that they still have to improve their software dev skills. Not even 3 hours in since i received them and my chamber is fried. It charges the earbuds, but other than that...

There is supposed to be a fix for that. Apparently some chambers were either sent out in an update mode or got stuck during the update.

Did you mean there is a fix other than what is reported here? i.e take out Right, put it back, wait 5 minutes, say a prayer, fail, repeat until you go insane....  Huh

I agree with what you said, I also think they will become better in time. After using them more extensively, I can say that the issue that annoys me the most is that I can't seamlessly use them with iPad, I have to redo the pairing process and disconnect them from the iPhone, which is a pain in the ...backSmile. Also, playing music right after initiating a new connection, only the R bud works for 20 sec, then the L one decides to join in as wellSmile

I think I know why there are 3 connections: Devialet doesn't have that wonderful Apple chip which does all the connectivity behind the curtains, therefore each individual item has its own bluetooth connection. Gemini L and R are for the buds, while Gemini is only for the app and used to connect to the chamber/control channel.

This is why most of the firmware upgrades fail, because you see "Gemini" connected to your bluetooth, however Gemini L and/or R are not. The situation is more dire in the case of R, which you can't see as "connected" even in the best case scenario when it actually is.

Anyway, related to the sound, I think the highs are too harsh in neutral EQ. I will try to change the sound profile to see whether something changes for the better. The mids and lows are really good though.
(24-Dec-2020, 23:51)cuco Wrote: [ -> ]hello all,
i am thinking about buying the geminis. Can anyone tell me if they support multipoint connections? This means connecting to two devices. Laptop and smartphone for example.
Thanks for the help and have a nice christmas!

No they do not.
Has anyone with a dead chamber received any meaningful support? No response yet to my support ticket, but am still within 72 (business) hours. If no response I am guessing people have returned theirs?
Same here, still waiting on devialet's customer support..
brief recap of my main steps:
- 1) got me a few hours to get both earbuds paired AND updated to v32.

- 2) after the right earbug was properly updated, the process failed for the chamber, and since then the chamber is dead/unresponsive, not appearing anywhere, no lights showing up whatsoever etc.. showing up version=0.0.0.0 (looks like something pointed here as Chamber locked in sync mode)..

- 3) for two days both earbuds were working fine, got to use them for a 1-2 hours (very nice sound, but surprisingly more so in transparency than neutral mode..),
AND suddenly on saturday they shutdown while listining to a podcast... and since then Nothing.

So:
- the chamber is dead since thursday evening, and all kinds of procedures found on thus thread or on devialet's website havent worked at all.
- cannot use/pair both earbuds since saturday pm

Thanks for your help !
