Maybe it is time for another UPnP update. It has been a while, and as you can see from my signature, I am now using an Innuos Zen mini Mk3 with LPSU. I am very happy with it. What a great sounding streaming server. And a really nice app and user interface. My desire for Roon has diminished significantly. In fact, I no longer consider it.
As for the new setup. Devialet's UPnP is still a mess, but I found a reasonably stable setup/settings. It might be the firmware updates (now 2.17.5), the fact that I use two current Phantom models, the updated LMS libraries from Philippe, or something else. There are some counterintuitive settings, but I now use UPnP most of the time for casual listening. When I want true gapless and flawless performance, I switch to optical. There is another option, Digital Coax via ARCH, but I have my turntable connected so I would have to change the setup.
