RE: Roonready device with AES output? - Dr Tone - 15-Apr-2016 I won't be bringing another server into the mix. I have a massive library, a vm host server, a couple virtual servers within it, a NAS with iSCSI LUNS for music storage. My virtual music server has crashplan on it to backup my music library, thus the need for iSCSI. It all works well and I'm setup to handle the worst case disaster. RE: Roonready device with AES output? - Confused - 15-Apr-2016 There are a few PC soundcards with AES output. Although I have no idea how good they are for ultimate sound quality, plus it would entail you self-building your own AES equipped Roon device. Yes, unless said earthquake, fire, flood or hurricane wiped out my servers and all of Crashplans servers across the world. In that case I think we all have bigger problems than having to rerip my music.
