In an earlier post, I mentioned a modded Oppo BD player that enables the extraction of digital audio from an HDMI input signal.
I occasionally think what would I do if the BD player stopped working, as there is no obvious replacement.

Well, idly browsing the web shop, who supplied the BD player, I surprisingly discovered that there is a potential replacement.  A stand-alone component from the manufacturers of the modded board.

Thank you. It is certainly better than the KanexPro device that I suggested and a lot more effort focused on audio quality, especially jitter.

I was curious about the price. Not cheap!!!
