Devialet AIR driver update
#21
How did people get AIR working on the M1 Mac?

I've downgraded my MacBook Pro to Ventura and lowered the security settings but 4.01 fails to install and 3.05 will install but errors on launch with "failed to load virtual driver reboot your Mac"

Gave up in the end and now trialling Roon.

I have an M1 MacBook Pro running Mac OS Sequoia (15.1.1) and Air Driver works fine. Also I have a  MacBook Air running Air and 15.1.1
I don't know what I did but it just runs.
The only issue I have is when I suddenly quit Amazon Music, the Devialet keeps playing the music loop in its cache.
I get 24 bit 192kbps in this way.

The issue you mentioned came with one of the latest releases of Mac and annoys me a lot @JamesN , that's why I stopped using AIR unfortunately because I can't stand to the half second loop when the album is finished.

How did you get it installed on Sequoia, i've tried installing the 4.0.1 driver but it fails every time?

well that's bizarre, just installed pacifist to see if it give me more info and it shows it as installed and it showed the app location.

Just launched and it seems to be ok

Installed the Windows 11 24H2 update, but got an AIR driver error after the first and second reboot.
Fortunately I could reroll the update. And so I did. It fixed the problem.

Are there any others (maybe with later AIR drivers) that installed this update with or without problems?

Unfortunately, I had the following error after installing the Windows 11 24H2 update:

Devialet AIR 4.0 – Error
The AIR Virtual Soundcard Driver could not be loaded. Please restart your computer

I haven't found a solution to the problem yet

On devialet.com website expert-configuration page under Driver, it is stated:

IMPORTANT : Please note Devialet Air may not be compatible with future Windows or Mac OS versions.

That's too bad as I used Devialet AIR every day.
Has anyone found a solution other than reroll the Windows 11 24H2 update?

Same. Will try to get back to previous version. Obsolete material worth a fortune...
