A Hi-Fi mag. that I bought yesterday pointed me to this piece of music analysis software which could come in handy to those of us that download high res. files and want to make sure that they are the real deal.
Seems like a lot of software for €30.

Yes I tried this and got a few shocks with some of the so-called HiRes downloads - I will certainly be testing before buying in future.

Surely if they are not high res they should not label them as high res. In a perfect world that is.

Surely if Hi-res is so much better one should be immediately able to hear its qualities without recourse to analysis software?

But when you don't its nice to be able to prove that your ears are not quite as jaded and your tinnitus as bad as you thought !!
