Not sure if I'm imagining or it is a placebo effect but the sound quality is much better than before especially the vocals pop a lot more than before. I'm extremely happy with the Phantoms sound now.
The PLC connection between Dialog and Phantoms sounded the best compared to direct ethernet or wireless options. The whole set up is very stable now. I'm impressed completely for the first time !!
The Spark UI however still pales in comparison to some leading streaming apps like Spotify, Tidal etc.
Post update, wondering if others heard better sound or no change.

Hi,
I just would like clarification to this statement.
When you say PLC, can you provide specifics on the type of PLC solution you are using? I would have thought direct ethernet would be the optimum connection. But would be interested to try your method and compare.
Thanks!
I am guessing seyak is referring to the PLC that is built in to Phantoms and Dialog.

Interesting. I wasn't aware the Phantoms had internal PLC adapters. And i thought I read the manual fully!
I am currently connecting Phantom to Dialog by way of external ethernet-to-PLC adapters instead of WiFi for stability sake. I will remove them and see if things connect normally via direct AC connection and see if there is an audible difference to my ears.

Same for me. I got the first model of phantoms (without bluetooth) and before the Spark app showed the connection type, I was not aware that the phantoms are connected via PLC.
At a friend of mine the phantoms are connecting via WiFi. He has a PLC in parallel in his home infrastructure so my guess is that a parallel PLC might reduce connection quality and will lead to preferred WIFI connection.
Cheers,
Krisp

Oops sorry. I now remember why I went the external PLC adapter route. For my house there is apparently enough 5Ghz interference to render the wifi connection unstable...and I often found my phantoms encountering audible connectivity issues whenever it tried to switch between wifi to PLC and back. After forcing an ethernet connection via external PLC adapter, it bypasses the use of Wifi as I wasn't able to find a way to force the use of the onboard PLC only (disable wifi). So far it's working good this way.
