10 grand for your own pilon into the mains doesn't seem that bad value really. What would that buy you in the European audiophile world - a couple of mains leads the size of feature film 20kW lighting cables, a handful of diamond pucks and wooden box filled with charcoal.

Oh yeah, apologies - your Shunyata loaner 'snakes' did prompt the cable thing but wasn't aimed anywhere specific. I just think in the grand scheme of things the pylon install actually seemed like 10 grands worth of value, but can't for the life of me rationalise the cost of many audiophile tweaks.
I wonder how much it would cost to get UKPower to install a pylon in someone's house. They quoted me about £1000 to move the supply cable about two feet (I worked around it).
