Has anyone compared the D400 and 250 Pro from the power and SQ perspectives? I have the D400 and the old DP, been in the dilemma for a while, I 'm guessing the D400 will edge in power but not sure how limited I will be in the future if I decided to upgrade speakers with 250 Pro. And the upcoming streaming board is also tempting - that I can go back to the single unit solution which is why I went for Devialet in the first place. Any recommendations or first hand experience would be much appreciated, thanks!

I did not do A/B comparison. By the time I got my first 250Pro, I had sold off the my 200 companion. In terms of SQ, 250 pro wins hands down.

+1 to sam1000 based on my side-by-side comparison of D250 and 250Pro.

I'm at this point in my upgrade path. I've ordered a second D220Pro to move me to 440 and second guessing myself on whether I should have just gone with the D250. I have the opportunity over the next several days to change my mind and looking to fellow D's for possible suggestions. I like the single unit concept and have heard the 250Pro is same or somewhat better in terms of SQ and it may be all I need to finish up the amp updates.
Any thoughts?
Jim

After replacing my D200 with a D220 Pro, I then added a 2nd 220 Pro. The 220 Pro was such a nice upgrade over the 200 but adding the 2nd 220 Pro to make a 440 Pro was an even bigger jump. I've never had a chance to try a 250 or 250 Pro. My guess is that the 440 Pro is probably comparable to a 250 Pro although power hungry speakers will likely respond to the 440 Pro better. I suspect your Harbeths will sound awesome with the 440 Pro.
To be honest, if I had a 250 Pro, I then be tempted to add another. With the 440 Pro, I'm done and extremely happy about that!

About same path here. Since I couldn't do A/B comparison with the upgrade process, must admit that what I have now is pretty impressive. I'd probably not recognize the original D200 with what I have now.
