What album are you listening tonight?
Shriekback "Jam Science" (LP rip)

Post-punk/funk.

By the way, I just read this in the Roon review of their first EP, Tench: "The tracks range from funky and only slightly bizarre ... to bizarre and only slightly funky."  Perfect summary!  "Jam Science" is more at the funky end of the scale, on the whole.

Seal – Soul, CD rip

Well, the title says it all: Seal (Prayer for the Dying, Crazy, and a huge etc) sings soul classics. Good production, sounds nice, good choice for a Sunday evening.

Santana is the debut album of the Latin rock band Santana from San Francisco. It was released in August 1969 shortly after the performance of the band at the Woodstock Festival at Columbia Records.

Escalator over the Hill (or EOTH) by Carla Bley is often referred to as a jazz opera; The track-breaking work was published in 1971 with the subtitle "Chronotransduction" with "words by Paul Haines, adaptation and music of Carla Bley, production and coordination of Michael Mantler", played by a multitude of well-known musicians (free) jazz, rock and pop, Including the Jazz Composer's Orchestra (JCOA).

Soul/jazz/R&B mixture.  Completely new to me, and I'm enjoying it a lot.  The second track, "The Way", has a very beautiful bass line.

I bought the LP the week it was released - still like it!
