With Devialet, more power is better, especially when your speakers have a SAM profile which is the case for the B&W 705 signature.
I had a similar experience with my own system. My 120 never felt limited and I was listening at -6dB on very dynamic classical CDs.
But when it got upgraded to a 220, although I’m now listening to -8dB on the same CDs, which is the same level overall, I got a gain in the bass compartment with almost twice the power available for SAM than before and that was a difference.
So if you have the budget, that would be my recommendation.
