removing the antenna is hardly audible while removing the wifi card really makes a big difference. I have also not expected this...
The CI board has introduced a better clock which was a good update as it seems to replace the internal clock of the Devialet. I guess the wifi card is degrading the quality of this clock and also pollutes the whole system somehow.
Another improvement could maybe archieved with a dummy OS which only puts the CPU of the CI board into a halt state...the CI board is fully booted up even if none of it's functionality is used. A replacement board with only a high quality clock could be a nice option.
