Looking at the photos of the internals of the Expert Pro, I suspect that just disconnecting the 2 antennas from the Wi-Fi card will bring about the improvements in sound quality - the antenna connections may connect the chassis ground to the CI circuit ground via the external antenna socket. By simply disconnected them, we break that potential ground loop. When disconnecting them, definitely cover the metal contacts on the antenna cables to prevent short circuits.
Perhaps worth experimenting if you're uncomfortable with removing the Wi-Fi card which causes the auto-dimming and auto-standby to not work.
