I have the Arvus H1-D as well, I bought it at the beta tester offer. Finally I found now this Arvus thread:
Here is my experience:
I am using this device between my HTPC and a Christie HD6KM projector. At the first attempt, I got no audio output device on my HTPC, reason my projector has no audio information in the EDID datablock. So I must use a HDMI Audio Extractor on the HDMI-out of the H1-D to simulate an audio device. Now I can see the H1-D as an audio output device on my HTPC.
Current Product version: 0.3.0 / Dante version: 1.3.3.5, shown in Dante Controller Software.
Still some audio dropouts and sometimes distortions, especially after changing from DTS to PCM for a few seconds and then back to DTS. This happens mostly, when watching several TV-Shows and my player closes after finishing one episode and then starting the next one.
And the communication with Arvus is, how should I write, very slow......
But the audio sounds much better than my old AVR with an Analog to Dante converter. Hope Arvus can improve the firmware as fast as possible, like fixing audio problems, resampling 44.1Khz audio, choosing speaker layout and so on...
