I’m very happy with my Expert Pro, but I’d think twice before buying an Astra given the track record of Devialet’s support for updates and bug fixes for the Expert range. It reeks of missed opportunity and de-prioritisation of the product. If anyone at Devialet who works on the software side of the amps reads this, thanks for what you did do, I suspect that you’ve been under resourced for too long.
I just wish that they’d at least provide security updates for potentially vulnerable parts of the operating system within. And even better, embrace the community to allow more access to the digital side. Imagine the opportunities for plugins, or on-system configuration, or building third party remote control apps.
