After posting this, Blustream contacted me to correct me on a few things. I love how responsive and proactive they are.
1) The PoE port can power the entire device as a power source, so I will disconnect the kettle lead next time I dismantle my rack
2) The latest firmware does let you set relative volumes and delays, but still keep overall system volume control! I have proper delays and levels set that work super well. Now I need a device to measure what these should be better than a tape measure and my ears
Any recommendations?
3) When I hold the remote volume buttons down now they work properly, so it's much faster to change volume!
This device is brilliant. CEC pass through, better use of the front panel display (correct name for input, levels when using volume control), and a firmware update notification in the UI are the only things I'd add to make it perfect for my setup. I couldn't be happier.
