IMHO, yes and no .... no matter how good the subwoofer is, the bass from main speakers is still going to affect the bass quality. Sopra 2 is not inefficient, but it is also not the easiest load to drive. To control its bass drivers, one needs an amp with good control, 440 bass control is definitely better than 220, and that affects the overall bass quality, no matter whether you use subwoofer or not.
