I’m interested in your comments about transparent vs. musical systems.
I hadn’t really thought to look at HiFi brands through those distinct lenses.

If Naim and Astra are musical, what others would you regard as musical?
And which systems would you regard as transparent?

First that comes to my mind being most transparent is CH Precision, Soulution is not far behind in terms of transparency. Goldmund is not bad in transparency if you don't mind the Goldmund standard taste added to your music, most Swiss brands go for transparency. If going US brands, Audio Research ....

Naim, Gryphon, MBL, McIntosh, Pass Labs, etc are brands that goes for musicality. They each have their own taste, depending what you like ....
