I am extremely happy with my new Phantom Ultimates. They are sounding much better than my 8-year-old Golds, but this is not apples-to-apples. The Ultimates are in a completely different position in the room (firing across the room, long wall positioning) and on stands (vs window sills), which I think gives them a big advantage.
No wireless connectivity problems at all which plagued my old Phantoms. It was a gamble, but it paid off. Anyway, no way am I claiming these are the non plus ultra. But for a kitchen/dining room system they are certainly scratching my itch.
