Please explain the tone controls

I am new at this forum. I have Devialet Expert Pro 220.

I have two questions:
1. Did you notice change in sound after treble going from 2kHz --> 20kHz and bass down to 100 Hz assuming that I do not do any tone control, so it is still +/-0,0dB?

2. Did anybody notice change in sound quality after switching off "Dynamic Power Management" without changing other things? I assume Dynamic Power Management could be some sort of power saving option but it is not clear to me.

I have an Expert Pro 220 too.

1. It's strange, but I heard a sound change with different frequency settings for tone controls allthough bass and treble set to 0dB. After quite a lot experimenting I went back to 1kHz for treble and 100 Hz for bass which is sounding best for me. As well I am sure it is the best setting (for my room and speakers) to use the tone controls (here +1dB bass and +3dB treble).

2. As well I do hear a difference with DPM on and off. That's easy to test, as it can be changed with the remote when listening. For me DSP off sounds better, no matter how long the Devialet is turned on or how load I play.

Both was my finding allready with Expert 110 before I upgraded to Expert Pro 220 where I came to the same conclusion.
